Lives We Might Have Lived arrives November 17! Here’s what you can do between now and then to make for the best launch possible.

We have a release date for LWMHL! It will be available in hardcover and Kindle on November 17, just in time for the regular gun deer hunt season in Wisconsin. It will be nearly two years since I wrote the first worst words of this tale, and I’m finally ready to release it into the wild.

Here’s what you can do between now and November 17 to help support me and help me make this the biggest success of my career (if we’re measuring “success” by copies sold, which we’re not).

Pre-order on Kindle. If you plan to read this on Kindle, please pre-order it. Pre-orders count heavily in Amazon’s algorithm.

(Re)read The Hunter’s Tale. You do not have to have read The Hunter’s Tale to enjoy Lives We Might Have Lived, but it may enrich your enjoyment. It is just $1.99 on Kindle. It’s also very inexpensive in paperback, but the hardcover version looks much better on the shelf.

Mark your calendar for the launch party on November 14. If you’re in the area, there will be a launch party at Lion’s Tooth bookshop in Milwaukee, WI. I will have signed copies available for purchase. I will post updates here and on Instagram with more details on the party and afterparty.

Stay tuned for a book signing date in Sturgeon Bay. I’m working on getting a date for a book signing at Novel Bay Booksellers in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

Ask your local bookstore if you can purchase the book through them. I would love to have LWMHL on more stores’ shelves! Amazon makes it so easy for independent authors to publish and sell, and the royalties aren’t terrible, but as much as possible I would like the profits for my books to go to local bookstores instead of Jeff. If you have a local bookstore you love, ask about how you can buy the book through them. Give them my email peter@peterdahlwrites.com.

Post on socials. I’m not on Facebook, so anything you can post there promoting the book is greatly appreciated!
